Business Management Technology
Business management technology combines the disciplines of science and engineering along with management and business training to prepare leaders in high-tech and science-based industries. Companies are looking for high-tech business leaders who also master the art and science.
Technology leaders today are under pressure to meet new requirements for clarity, agility, and fluency – while simultaneously demonstrating how their work is aligned with the point of sale company’s strategy. This calls for an entirely new approach that enables the purpose of creating value, not just to preserve it. This is why many organizations are turning to technology-based management (TBM).
TBM is an area of study that provides a framework for comprehensive understanding, planning, billing and budgeting, benchmarking, and optimization of the complete IT portfolio across all delivery, technology and development models. It helps finance and tech leaders to assess the true impact of technology developments and ensures that the investments they make are matched to their objectives and the strategy of the company.
The program is available at both COTC campuses and online. It can be coupled with a business associate degree to earn a Bachelor’s degree via our 2+2 program. It is designed to help prepare students for the entry-level supervisory, managerial and management trainee positions in the service and production industries. It is a well-balanced program that teaches a practical and integrated approach to business operations, including marketing human resources, management and supervision. The program also includes an education program for general education as well as a selection of electives.
